Ferriswheel

I was working on a personal project photographing goats which started in South Royalton, VT and ended in Topsfield, MA at the #TopsfieldFair. As I entered the turnstile to leave, I just happened to look up and saw the cotton ball clouds and knew I had to photograph them some how. As I looked around, I saw the ferriswheel in the distance and knew that was the shot. So I ran to the other side of the fairgrounds in hopes of getting there before the light changed. Of course, I didn’t have a tripod with me because it’s impossible to photograph fast moving goats and lug a tripod around at the same time. I put a 20mm on, braced myself as best I could, took a deep breath and shot wide open at an 8th of a second. I guess you could say I got lucky with this one as it is tack sharp! I shot it spinning too, but this version really spoke to me.
